We talked about getting direct tv packages for the house and I’m still not sold. Mostly because I’m not sure the kids need to watch too much TV at the end of the day. They’re at that age where I feel like they could get easily sucked into video games or the phone or whatever the technology of the day is and I don’t want to encourage it by getting them thousands of TV channels, you know? I love my kids to death and I’d never forgive myself if I did something to set them up for a lifetime of obesity or immobility or things like that. It’s important to me that my kids read a lot and really develop their language skills as they get older because I want them to be well-rounded adults, you know? I think it’s great there’s so much technology available to kids but the last thing I want is for them to waste time learning about things that aren’t going to help them when they get out into the real world.
